Industrial packaging engineering

Packaging engineered around your part.

We design, test and launch industrial packaging for OEMs and Tier-1 suppliers: returnable tray systems, corrosion and ESD protection, and the PPWR paperwork that goes with them. One engineer follows your project from the first plant visit to the first series truck.

One returnable tray system, four plants

A new e-transmission plant with many new employees and no packaging specialist in-house. We developed twinsheet trays and boxes that have been in series supply since 2023 and are now used at four plants, tested for dust ingress and condensation, with VCI bags for the hydraulic units.

The rust didn't come from the packaging

Machined pump housings kept showing corrosion. A climate-chamber test that simulates about 15 years of sea freight showed the real cause: residues from the washing process. The advice was to fix the wash first, then choose the VCI and desiccant.

Getting a full packaging portfolio ready for PPWR

As project lead since July 2026, we mapped the packaging portfolio, asked every European supplier for its Declaration of Conformity, set up a DoC register and score each incoming declaration before it is accepted.

Packaging seen from the factory floor

Anthonie van Zalk founded Proteqpack Consulting in 2020, after more than 30 years in automotive and industrial supply chains, much of it in corrosion protection and protective packaging.

He leads most projects personally, from the first visit to the plant to the first series truck. That means one contact who knows your part, your line and your suppliers.
